Degrees Offered By USA Universities

Bachelor's Degree

Undergraduate studies in the U.S. emphasize flexibility and critical thinking. Students start with general education before choosing a major. A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) usually takes 4 years—the first 2 years cover liberal arts, sometimes leading to an associate degree. Students can apply after 12th grade, or as transfer students with prior credits. Admission to top universities often requires SAT and TOEFL scores.

Master's Degree

A Master’s degree in the U.S. usually takes 2 years. Options include MA, MS, MBA, and specialized programs in sciences, engineering, business, and more. Students with 16 years of education can directly apply; those with 15 years may need an additional year, though many universities now accept 15 years with strong profiles. Admission typically requires GRE/GMAT and TOEFL scores.

Doctoral Degree
